S.U.B. Podcast #06 Review & Download

Hello again. Podcast #06 includes releases from this past two weeks. Lot of artist were suppose to be included, due to lack of free time, was unable to do another mix retry. This is made in one take. Includes lots of experimental sounds, beats, so am not sure is it suitable for working condition or for anyone’s ears. So, give it a go. Click, listen and follow Skopje Urban Beats. Also, next week S.U.B. gets to do their first PARTY! WOOO! Follow the info on  http://www.facebook.com/skopje.beats/

This week’s podcast starts of with Golden Panda and two singles from his “Trust” EP. Singles played on this podcast are “Trust” and “Burnt-Out Car In A Forest”. The second single that iv played, was so mad, that I was unsure what will be the reaction of the listneren. Since its of beat, glitch track, with a perfect name, “Burnt-Out Car In A Forest” and is a great ride. Trust is far more playable and iv really enjoyed this two singles, you can check out Golden Panda at: https://soundcloud.com/gold-panda or buy his EP here http://www.iamgoldpanda.com/.

Flux pavilion - “Blow the roof” is the first single/title of the EP, which comes out 28 of January via Big Beat Records.

Battle box is the name of the new project and EP made by Massive Attack’s 3D aka Robert Del Naja, and featuring Guy Garvey from Elbow.

Sun Glitters “Mouth/Tight” released by Lefse Records. Track used for the podcast was “Mouth” remixed done by Shigeto.

“Viral Humanity”, “7 Million Lives” and “Soul Connection” are track from the album “Hong Kong” made by Davwuh. For me its an unknown producer, check him out at http://davwuh.bandcamp.com/ , love the artwork. I will quote Davwuh own description of the music he makes “Broken voices suffocating beneath heavy bass weight, dark ambient soundscapes, dream chord arpeggios, the new jazz age.”

New release “Hardcourage” by FaltyDL for Ninja Tune. “Uncea” and “Korben Dallas” are the tracks that were used in this podcast. Must say – love the name of the tack “Korben Dallas”. Finally, on of the coolest fictional characters ever made, has his own soundtrack sound.

A bit older EP by DFRNT  titled “Monday Morning” for the label - On the Edge. Track used “Monday morning” and “Piston.”

Free single by Boddika – “Soul What (Boddika rmx)” which can be found at http://www.edmexqlusiv.com/posts/577-Boddika_-_Soul_What_Remixes.

Another new artist Synthetic Epiphany, album name The Archives. Tracks used “Hallowed” - “The Archives” and “Green Heat.” If you love the sound listen to the rest of he album on http://syntheticepiphany.bandcamp.com/

The weirdest album and track name, comes from Japan. Fugenn & The White Elephants, track played “M” from the album “Pray.” Superb track.

New tune from Killawatt & Ipman “Warehouse Dub” released for Lion Charge Records.
Few track fom the superb album “Red Planet” by The Others  for Dub Police. Titled track “Red Planet” and “Antithesis which features vocals by Stamina MC. The more I listen to this album, the more I love it. Its great that the dubstep sound is passed to a new course. Hope it stays there, cause it just hit the spot of being awesome again.

Mojo is one of my new favorite artist – 20 years old dude from Sheffield, U.K. Spotted him on the “Superman” EP for Buygore rec. Love the guitar strings and the moody dubstep sound, far from the glitches and the shitty edm stuff. Just released the new EP “Blues” for Terrorhythm Recordings, iv included three tracks from it, “Blues”, “Nobody’s Fool” and “Across The Pond.” Love the whole ep, love Mojo’s sound. This is a very good year for dubstep, I can feel it.

Von D, track from his album “Daydreaming” released by Boka Records, track titled “ASAP.” Another tracks released by Boka Recordings, are remix by Von D of the track “Give” by Funk Ethics & Lucid Directions And artist named  Instinct with his track “Elude” found on  Boka Artillery vol.3
The last tune of this torture mix is Undefied and remix of their track “Give Me Strength” by Digid.

As you can guess the next two tunes are here to end podcast #06 sessions. First of we start with Nikola Trpevski and his solo projects “S.A.M. Comes from Tetovo (Macedonia) and he is a member of the dubstep/dnb duo – The BassMighty Kreatorz. You had a chance to listen to their remix of Lana Del rey – Summertime Sadness. You can check them out https://soundcloud.com/the-bassmighty-kreatorz. Nikola or S.A.M. plans to release album this year. Track in this podcast named “Grevot na Gradotwas made in collaboration with Rootsman I , lead singer of Conquering Lion also from Tetovo. You can see the influence of the two project of Nikola, mixture of hip-hop, dubstep and probably drum and bass sound. The lyrics are too harsh but true, in terms of most hip-hop artists who prefer to rap about fake stuff.

Last artist on this podcast session are “Dlaboka Traga”. Only one track was used from their solid album “Neizgovoreno.” Album titled “Никогаш Исто” has 15 tracks, made by Zad Agolot Production. Love the artwork and most of the tunes. You can hear the whole album which has been released free on http://www.hiphop.mk/makedonija/1258-albumotn-na-dlaboka-traga-dostapen-besplatno
Really sorry no to include the artists that were planed, but not included in this session.
