S.U.B. Podcast #04 Review & Download

So it’s a start of a new year, and with it comes new sounds. Many styles, free music, club bangers, independed artist to be discovered in this week’s S.U.B. Podcast #04. Starting of with Murlo with a track from his Quartz EP for Lowup Records. Loved the tunes “Soundboy” and “Prism”.  Second track opener was Weiter by Kempa from his EP “On my head” for Disturbing Noise Rec. Young and talented producer, loved “Weiter” and the German vocals in it. Made it perfect i had to share this tune.

Another drum and bass dj/producer Rregula experimenting with the sounds of  Neuro dnb and glitch hop, as you can hear it in his track “Beast”.

Two singles for No doubt, moombahtron banger “Settle down” and “Push and shove” which is the name of their new album released last year. I won’t criticize the album, love some of their older tunes. At least they are trying to keep up with the sound. On both of the tracks used in this podcast were produced by Major Lazer (Diplo) and as a guest Busy Signal. “Push and shove” great single, two bad that they didn’t made the whole album in this kind of vibes. Too much mushy stuff inside, maybe that’s why they are not my favorite band, for Gven that’s a different story.

Foolish Green (Nenad Stefanovski) young artist from Macedonia, know as a hip-hop producer for Green Out, Legijata, Protiv Site etc. With the solo project Foolish Green he is experimenting with psychedelic pop, alternative British rock, punk, trip hop etc. Promotional EP “Sun is Gone” was released by the neighboring MTV sites. As announcement to his first album entitled “Escape”.

Shuriken is the first single by the producer Tendo and Drop Sensei crew from Serbia.   Drop Sensei is a five man crew (Bozne, Lehel, Rokster, Dardy D & Senzzor.). Club banger, was surprised by it, great vibe for a first single.

Biggest surprise in the 2013 was the release of the first volume “Do kraja Sveta”. Collaboration between the producers Wikluh Sky & Rahmanee.  This project was announced 2011, with the preview of their unofficial single “Dobri Dani”. The track made real mayhem throughout the last year in most of clubs in the Balkans. Theme of this album is described as post-apocalyptic love songs in modern arrangement such as break beat, funk, drum and bass, dubstep. Their first official single was the dubstep track “Bella morte”. The album was released by MTV sites in Balkan region on the first of January. Except the music, the lyrics are the prior factor to the success of this free release. My favorite from this volume is “Urgentni centar”, mockery of a unhappy married life. Last tune of this podcast is the opening number “Pocetak kraja”. Summary, cant wait for the release of the second volume.
